Strengthening Faith and Building Testimonies

Welcome to The Great Disciple Challenge! This engaging and faith-building program is designed for our youth to deepen their understanding of the scriptures, church history, and leadership. By taking part in this challenge, young members of our congregations will strengthen their testimonies and become more connected to their faith.

Let us simplify our lives a little. Let us make the changes necessary to refocus our lives on the sublime beauty of the simple, humble path of Christian discipleship—the path that leads always toward a life of meaning, gladness, and peace.

The Seven Challenges: Building Faith and Fostering Unity

And he commanded them that there should be no contention one with another, but that they should look forward with one eye, having one faith and one baptism, having their hearts knit together in unity and in love one towards another.

Mosiah 18:21

Inspired by Mosiah 18:21, the Great Disciple Challenge aims to help the youth build a strong foundation of faith, spiritual growth, and unity in the gospel. These tasks include memorizing scripture, learning about church leadership, and sharing personal testimonies. Participants are encouraged to complete these challenges at their own pace and with the support of their friends, family, and church leaders.

Challenges:

  1. Recite from memory all the books in the four standard works.
  2. Recite from memory the Articles of Faith.
  3. Recite from memory all the modern prophets in order.
  4. Recite from memory the YM or YW theme.
  5. Recite from memory the names of the current Twelve Apostles in order.
  6. Read the entire Book of Mormon.
  7. Bear your testimony in church on Fast Sunday.

By completing The Great Disciple Challenge, youth will grow closer to their Heavenly Father and develop a lasting foundation in the gospel that will guide them throughout their lives. We invite all young members to join us in this exciting journey of faith and discovery.
